hi to everyone out there,i;m an Australian lady that is trying to find her great great grandfathers scotish roots,he was born around 1818,in fifeshire scotland and his name was John McDermott,his parents names were John McDermott and Margaret McPherson,I have no idea where abouts in Fifeshire they lived but I have been doing my family tree for thirteen years now and each time I try to find something in Scotland I always hit a brickwall,please help me.Marcelle.

I am looking for my ancestors - surname Lynch. My family live in Canada. My grandfather, John Lynch, died at the age of 88 in 1974. His father's name was Joseph Lynch. My brother has traced the roots back to Waterford. They went to Canada before the potato famine. Would appreciate any information.
