seeking information regarding the birth of Barbara Connolly or Connolley or Conley. Born 1860 "on an island" removed with her family to Irishtown, Athlone, Westmeath. Emigrated to US in 1874. Parents John and Ellen, sisters Bridget and Anne, brother Robert, brother unknown. Bridget and Robert emigrated to Boston after Barbara but Annie "remained with your mother" in Athlone.

Any information on Martin Joseph Connelly (later changed to Connolly by my grandfather WIlliam Henry Connolly) who emigrated to Boston around 1890 - came to Boston with a few other siblings but left about 6 behind....Think his sisters that came were named Deliah and Catherine.....Any information about the other Connelly's would be helpful and much appreciated. Children Peter, Bridget (m.Anthony Welsh),John,Patrick,Michael(m.Anne Grealish),Mary(m.August Doran),William(m.Mary Conroy),Margaret(m.? Dumar)-Don't know where they came into the U.S. They did live in Penn(near Pitts),Kentucky,Ohio-Lawrence County, St. Paul Minn-Ramsey Co., Chicago Ill.

Researching john connelly b1810circa parents where john and bridget connelley galway. john jnr was married to elizabeth king manchester england 1845 on certificate he is recorded widower. I am going to galway in june 2009 can anyone advise on best place to start looking for info. john was a roman catholic.
